So Christmas is just waiting around the corner, and like every
year, I have waited till the very last minute to come up with a cute handmade
gift I can make for everyone. I was proud of myself this year. I started
earlier than usual (usually I begin on Christmas eve or better still Christmas
morning!)
I decided this year to make cake pops decorated as little snowmen.
So, as I said previously, I had gotten bored with our families decorations because for most, if not all the years of my life the decorations have not changed. The same baubles and trinkets go on the tree every year.
Maybe it was because there was no theme or
pattern to our tree, but whatever the reason I had had enough.
While I haven't been very good at sharing it with you the past few weeks, I have seriously been enjoying the approach of Christmas. There is something so exciting and different about this year that I can't place.
I am a library lover. I take great pleasure in knowing that if I completely hate a book that I don't even need to finish it I can just return it and hopefully never see it again. I also love that I can browse for anything and easily change my mind once I get home. If I get the feeling for action but get home and decide that honestly now is not the time that's fine (I just end up doing heaps of trips to the library).
There are times that I find an absolute beauty and then I go and buy the whole series and follow the author and every book they publish after. But I also like libraries for the ability to sample things that I haven't tried before.
Every so often (at the moment it is roughly once every second month) I head down/up to one of my local libraries and collect a stack of books. Sometimes it will just be a few if I'm reading a series and other times when I'm in-between big book series it will be quite a large stack as I'm searching for my next read.
I thought that this time I'd share my stack of books with you.

I wasn't actually going to share this seeing it ended up a little more of a disaster than I had hoped, but if it makes at least on person laugh today then I'll be satisfied.
I still, hopefully have a Christmassy crafty project to come (with some of the littler ones) which will hopefully work out better but here is the first.

Because I enjoyed writing about my
favourite things last month (here) I thought I'd share them with you again.
